Counter Salesperson (Horncastle)

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Counter Salesperson to work with our team at our building supplies branch in Horncastle.  This role would be suitable for someone with experience on a builders’ merchant trade counter or who has plenty of experience of DIY and construction.  However, we would also consider someone for an entry level role and offer an apprenticeship qualification to support their training.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Serving customers on the trade counter.
  • Ensuring products and stands are displayed for best effect.
  • Ensuring all in-store posters and Point of Sale (POS) are current and well maintained.
  • Making best use of regular ‘in-store’ and ‘manager’ offers to drive sales and customer awareness of products and offers.
  • Maintaining a high level of housekeeping in the branch and ensuring racking, bins and gondolas are stocked-up daily.

Hours of work will be 7.30am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday (with 1 hour for lunch) and 1 in 2 Saturdays from 7.30am to 12:30pm.

Whilst this is available as a full-time role; we are willing to be flexible with the hours and days worked.
