Omega kitchen design takes centre stage
Our clients wanted their new open plan kitchen and separate utility room to be stylish, contemporary and practical. The idea of a dramatic black kitchen really appealed! Designer Jake at Turnbull Brigg Kitchens & Bathrooms suggested an Omega/Sheraton Kitchen in Anthracite for the cabinetry. It’s a deep grey/black handleless design and coupled with sparkling quartz worktops has the wow factor, for sure.
Maximum storage and integrated appliances
Jake specified big bi-fold wall units in a long run above the induction hob – they provide great storage for glassware and conceal the extractor unit very effectively. Cupboards housing the NEFF Hide & Slide double ovens are tall and boxed into the ceiling for a clean and contemporary look. There are pull out units for spices and jars to keep those long white worktops clear of clutter.
From render to reality
3D software is a great help when visualising less conventional colour schemes for your new kitchen. Jake’s detailed renders (software-generated images) of his proposed design show how the kitchen would look from lots of different angles. They even show how a planned lighting scheme and natural daylight from windows will light the room and how shadows and reflected light will fall – clever stuff!
Design software gives you a chance to think about what you don’t want as well. Creating alternatives using the software is a key part of the kitchen design service we offer. In this case, the final choice for the floor of this contemporary black kitchen were bold, large format white quartz tiles, not the wood finish in the original design.

One of the pleasures of this kitchen is its balanced design. Wall units run in beautiful parallels with the large kitchen island, lines which are echoed by the run of the floor tiles. In open plan living, it’s important your kitchen looks as stylish as the rest of your space.
