Here at Turnbull we want to support our staff, which is why we offer a number of team building activities free of charge. Team building days are done in work hours (usually a Friday afternoon) meaning you don’t lose your free time and get an opportunity to build relationships with colleagues. Below are some examples of the activities that we have run recently…
The group enjoyed all the water sports/activities that are put on by activities away.
Many have come back saying paddle boarding was their favourite activity… especially when they had to go head-to-head against each other!
And ended the day with pizza!
We have sent a group of staff from all over the company for the afternoon Axe throwing, they enjoyed some head-to-head competition and a great pizza after!
As you can tell we were back out on the water!
Another successful team-building afternoon, the staff enjoyed the paddle boarding, kayaking, water pats and jumping into the water!
And ended the evening with a pizza!

We’ve changed things up a little and sent a group to have a go at some crazy golf! Two teams went head-to-head proving which team was better – the winning team winning by as little as 4 points!
And yes, we ended the event with a pizza!
What’s next?
Starting the New year with an Escape Room! Two teams were doing their best to escape from The Cabin… both teams were so close to escaping but not close enough! The first try they were one lock away from freedom and the second team only needed to unlock the door! Both teams did extremely well and earned their Pizza at the end of the event!
Another successful trip out for our staff! Undertaking some axe throwing, with plenty of practice before going head-to-head in the highest score challenge where everyone took part in hitting the target – we had a clear winner with 97 points! But others kept up well with points ranging from 70 to 90! Halfway we took a break and enjoyed our favourite, Pizza.

Who knew making coffee would prove to be such a challenge?
Costa Coffee in Sleaford hosted a group of our local staff, letting them have the run of their machines. The group made flat whites, iced and regular cappuccinos. Some people made it look very easy, whilst others… not so much! With plenty of drinks and cakes, we all came out caffeinated and with smiles on our faces!

By popular demand, we have sent a group go-karting!
The guys had a 5-minute qualification around followed by 20 minutes race, many laps later they were called out to the podium 3rd Travis P, 2nd Paul L and 1st Carl F, and all were rewarded with well-deserved pizza!
