Driver / Warehouse Operative (Horncastle)
Turnbull & Co is a family-owned builders’ merchant with long-standing roots across Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire. We’re looking for a reliable Driver / Warehouse Operative to join our Plumbing & Heating branch at Horncastle and play a key role in delivering to our trade customers and supporting daily branch operations.
This is a hands-on, practical role supporting our lightside team and focused on getting things right for customers and working closely with our local branches.
What you’ll be doing
- Loading and unloading our delivery vehicles ensuring that all products are safely loaded, secured and are correct against the customers’ orders.
- Making local deliveries of plumbing & heating products.
- Ensuring delivery is safe to make and respecting customer’s property.
- Keeping the warehouse tidy, accessible and in good operational order at all times
- Prepare stock for delivery.
- Controlling the movement of stock in and out of the warehouse.
- Providing first class customer service.
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone with experience of warehousing and delivery driving, but this can be in any industry and we will provide any training needed for the right candidate.
What matters most is:
- A Full Driving licence is required.
- A positive attitude and willingness to work
- Being reliable, practical, and safety-conscious
- Able to work well as part of a team
- Comfortable dealing with customers in a polite, professional way
- Forklift experience is desirable but not essential (training available).
