Driver/Warehouse Operative (Newark)

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Driver/Warehouse Operative based at our Plumbing & Heating branch in Newark Plumbing & Heating Branch. We are looking for someone with an enthusiasm for customer service and who is confident to work as part of a team and under their own initiative. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Loading our fleet of delivery vehicles ensuring that all products are safely loaded and secured.
- Making local deliveries in our 3.5t vehicle.
- Ensure that company forklift trucks are driven in line with company and legal requirements.
- Prepare stock for delivery.
- Control movement of stock in and out of the warehouse.
- Provide first class customer service.
- Handle any customer issues on delivery effectively
We are looking for someone with;
- Full Driving licence for 7.5t vehicle with Driver CPC would be an advantage but not essential.
- Fork-lift licence would be an advantage.
- Product knowledge and warehouse experience would be an advantage.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- A flexible approach to work.
This is a full-time role; hours of work will be 7:30am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday (with 1 hour for lunch) and 7:30am to 12:30pm on 1 in 2 Saturdays.
