Driver/Warehouse Operative (Sleaford Distribution Centre)
This is a hands-on, practical role supporting our distribution team and focused on getting things right for customers and working closely with our local branches.
What you’ll be doing
- Loading and unloading our fleet of delivery vehicles ensuring that all products are safely loaded, secured and are correct against the customers’ orders.
- Making local deliveries of kitchens, bathrooms and plumbing & heating products.
- Ensuring delivery is safe to make and respecting customer’s property.
- Checking goods off with Customers and obtaining signatures for delivery.
- Providing first class customer service.
- Handling customer queries on delivery effectively
What we’re looking for
You don’t need previous builders’ merchant experience — we’re happy to train the right person.
What matters most is:
- A positive attitude and willingness to work
- Being reliable, practical, and safety-conscious
- Able to work well as part of a team
- Comfortable dealing with customers in a polite, professional way
- Full Driving licence for 7.5t and driver CPC.
- A Class 2 Licence is desirable but not essential – we are willing to offer HGV training for the right person.
- Forklift experience is desirable but not essential (training available).
