Yard Foreman (Brigg)

We currently have an opportunity for a Yard Foreman based at our Brigg Building & Plumbing supplies branch. We are looking for someone with an enthusiasm for customer service and who is confident to work as part of a team and under their own initiative. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Be responsible for the yard team and support them to ensure that customers are served promptly and effectively.
- Liaise with branch manager and assistant branch manager to identify any issues within the yard that need addressing.
- Assist branch manager in arranging transport requirements for deliveries.
- Accurately check all incoming deliveries into the branch to ensure the contents are in accordance with delivery/carriers notes
- Oversee the loading of our fleet of delivery vehicles ensuring that that products are safely loaded and secured to minimise chances of damage.
- Ensure that the yard areas are kept tidy, accessible and in good operational order at all times.
- Oversee the security of yard stock by monitoring ingress and egress and controlling movement of stock in and out of the yard
We are looking for someone with:
- Previous yard foreman experience or someone ready to take on the extra responsibility that this role offers.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- A willingness to work as part of a team.
- A flexible approach to work.
- A forklift license would be desirable.
This is a full-time role; hours of work will be 7:30am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday (with 1 hour for lunch) and 7:30am to 12:30pm on 1 in 3 Saturdays.
