Trainee Counter Salesperson (Brigg)

Turnbull & Company is a family-owned builders’ merchant with long-standing roots across Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire. We’re looking for a customer focused Salesperson to join our Brigg trading centre and play a key role in serving our trade and retail customers and supporting branch sales.
This is a customer focused role based in our trade shop, focused on getting things right and working closely with the branch team. This role is ideal as a first step on the career ladder! No prior experience is needed — full training will be given, with the support of an experienced branch team behind you every step of the way
What you’ll be doing
- Learning to serving Customers on our Trade Counter.
- Monitoring Sales on all collected products within the shop.
- Helping to ordering stock for designated areas.
- Ensuring products and stands are displayed for best effect.
- Ensure all in-store promotional posters and Point of Sale (POS) are current and well maintained.
- Building relationships with customer and learning how to encourage additional stock purchases to support their projects.
What we’re looking for
You don’t need previous builders’ merchant experience — we’re happy to train the right person.
