The Carlisle Brass Bales Catch features a spring loaded ball held within the cylinder attached to the flange. The catch is recessed into the edge of the door while the striker plate is recessed within the door jamb. This allows for the door to be pulled open and closed without the use of a conventional tubular latch. An ideal option for discreetly installing on the top of door frames that feature a decorative handle.
